Event: From East to East

22.9.16

London's Art & Fashion pop-up exhibition celebrates China’s new age on globalisation & localisation!

Bringing together the best from both cultural traditions by mixing FUN, Garfield, Jason Freeny, this exhibition encapsulates and celebrates the new exchange of ideas between the East and the West, taking the brand from East (China) to East (London).

I went on Thursday evening and the pop-up shop was colorful and with an innovative design. They offered us coconut drinks and shakes and popcorns, while projecting a video about the event. It was nice!

FUN, a Chinese urban fashion brand established in 1985, with a handwriting mixing urban street style and modern cartoon characters, it has fast become a favourite go-to brand for the Chinese millennials.

FUN currently has more than 70 boutiques in Greater China and for this season, the main character is everyone's favourite lazy cat – Garfield. This exhibition aims to emphasise how it encapsulates both globalisation and localisation with a new direction. FUN is the first Chinese commercial urban fashion brand to showcase during LFW.
